GreenPort Congress speaker confirmed

Nils Nils Kemme, Associate Partner and Port Operations Consultant at HPC Hamburg Port Consulting GmbH confirmed to speak.

The associate partner and port operations consultant at HPC Hamburg Port Consulting GmbH will speak on day one of GreenPort Cruise & Congress 2019.

Dr Nils Kemme will present in session 2 as part of the Congress stream covering the topic of ‘towards an era of zero emissions: solutions for ports, terminals and cities’. He will discuss how to become a green and efficient port and how ports can make fully informed decisions about emission reductions.

Mr Kemme is associate partner and port operations consultant at HPC Hamburg Port Consulting GmbH, an independent subsidiary of Hamburg’s largest and most diversified port operating company HHLA Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG.

Based on his work experience from HHLA’s terminals, he has been involved in many port planning and optimisation projects all over the world for more than 13 years. Nils combines operational terminal experience and comprehensive simulation knowhow and holds a PhD degree in this field.

He is the director of HPC’s simulation team and as such, he has - over the last six years - planned and optimised port design and operations in more than 30 simulation projects on five continents, including the concession-winning concept design for a fully automated container terminal in Australia, the development and validation of emission reduction measures for a Baltic multi-purpose port, and the energy efficiency optimisation of a German container terminal.
