Don’t miss GreenPort Cruise and Congress 2016
With just over a month to go, it’s time to book your place at this year’s GreenPort Cruise and Congress taking place from 11 to 14 October, if you haven’t done so already.
The conference promises to equip any operation with smart and efficient solutions that will save emissions, time and money, no matter what size the port or terminal. Delegates will also be able to take advantage of invaluable networking, knowledge sharing and discussion opportunities.
This year’s conference is hosted by Venice Port Authority and the Port of Venice, and will feature case studies from terminal operators and port authorities from around the world.
Highlights from this year’s programme include talks by: Linda van Waveren, Port of Amsterdam and Dorita Hermes, Port of Hamburg on ‘Sustainability reporting for Ports, a contribution of the IAPH/PIANC working group 174’ and Anna Bobo Remijn from the European Commission on the Port Reception Facilities revision.
There will also be working groups on port expansion, nature protection, noise pollution and air emissions and plenary session on dealing with climate change and port infrastructure for alternative fuels.
Following the second day of the GreenPort Congress, on 14 October 2016, delegates will be given a full tour of the Port of Venice after which they will be free to explore the city.
Taking place the day before the GreenPort Congress, the fourth GreenPort Cruise Conference will address the pressing green issues facing cruise port terminals today. Sessions include ‘Cruise port infrastructure, dealing with increasingly large ships’ and 'Port projects: renewable energy, transports systems’.
Preferential rates are available for participants attending both the GreenPort Cruise Conference and GreenPort Congress and members of supporting associations may qualify for special rates.
