As an Operator you will be joining a well-established team. You will ensure operations are carried out efficiently, effectively and safely to our customers’ requirements.
The candidate would ideally have at least 1 years’ experience gained in an operational capacity in a chemicals, oil or gas processing outdoor environment, good knowledge of relevant safety legislation including the COMAH regulations, and must be proficient in the use of IT and software packages.

1.0 Job Purpose
1.1 To effectively, efficiently and safely execute operations to ensure that we meet the requirements of our customers.
2.0 Main duties (include, but are not limited to):
2.1 To optimise all operations involved in product storage and handling.
2.2 To ensure that operational records where required are accurately maintained.
2.3 To assist in the development and review of standard operating procedures, as required.
2.4 To fulfil any role, within the Operations Department, for which appropriate training has been given.
2.5 To ensure that any work undertaken is carried out to the standards required by the Terminal’s management.
2.6 To ensure that operating procedures where applicable are adhered to, including all relevant health and safety data issued by the Terminal in respect of products handled on the site.
2.7 To liaise with all outside agencies, if necessary, on all relevant matters associated to product storage and handling.
2.8 To ensure that the Terminal’s safety regulations are adhered to and that all work is carried out in a safe manner, thereby ensuring that the activities undertaken do not adversely affect the health and safety of other individuals.
2.9 To ensure that housekeeping standards are maintained.
2.10 To communicate effectively with appropriate personnel to ensure the efficient performance of the Operations Department.
2.11 To ensure the effectiveness of the Quality Assurance System, CMMS systems and all related procedures and systems.
2.12 To ensure all the requirements and the responsibilities contained therein of the Terminal’s COMAH plan, All Safety Health and Environmental Regulations, On and Off site Emergency Procedures, Personal and Process Safety systems and all other Safety Plans and procedures are adhered to.
3.0 Post Requirements
3.1.1 Grade C or above GSCE in English, maths and science (or equivalent).
3.2.1 More than 1 year’s work experience years’ experience preferably gained in an operational capacity in a chemicals, oil or gas processing outdoor environment.
3.3.1 Knowledge of best practice process and occupational safety.
3.4 Skill set

4.0 Impact and Influence

4.3 Complexity of work: Work is routine and process-driven and there are instructions for how working tasks are carried out but with freedom in terms of rearranging them as long as objectives are met.
