GreenPort Congress America Final Programme Confirmed

Ahead of the first GreenPort Congress to be held in North America between May 16th and 18th in Baltimore, Maryland, the conference programme has been finalised and will bring together speakers from across the region and the rest of the world.

Hosted by the Helen Delich Bentley Port of Baltimore, one of North America’s greenest ports recognised for its environmental efforts for several years and recently named a Green Supply Chain Partner by Inbound Logistics magazine, and the Maryland Department of Transportation, the conference will focus on a wide range of topics.

The programme is packed with 17 presentations, streams and plenary sessions spread over two days allowing delegates to:

  • Find out the stakeholders’ perspective on how you can build partnerships which will give you the opportunity to learn how key port stakeholders perceive them, their reaction to the ports’ changes and how your port can improve relationships with stakeholders
  • Hear how the ports of Tacoma and Seattle have worked with their sister ports, Kitakyushu and Kobe, to develop their environmental practices.
  • Learn how dredging technology and techniques are advancing, becoming more sustainable and further enhance your port and its environmental credentials.

Keynote presentations will be given by Raymond Fitzgerald, Chief Operating Officer of Wallenius Wilhelmsen Solutions and Chairman of American Roll-On Roll-Off Carriers and Patrick Verhoeven, Managing Director, Policy & Strategy, International Association of Ports and Harbors. Concluding with an interactive session bringing together all topics discussed.

The conference also allows time for networking between delegates and presenters allowing for further knowledge exchange and idea discussion. Concluding with a choice of five technical visits, delegates will have the opportunity to enhance their conference experience and view first-hand how Helen Delich Bentley Port of Baltimore achieved its green status.
