GreenPort Congress America 2018 a resounding success

Over 170 delegates attended from 14 nations, over the two and a half days in Baltimore, giving nothing but praise to the first North American edition of GreenPort Congress.

This year’s conference was packed with speakers from North American ports as well as those representing Europe, Asia and Australia. Delegates from Africa and South America were also in attendance highlighting the truly global nature of GreenPort Congress America.

“GreenPorts brings together some of the best and most forward-thinking minds in the industry to develop new ideas to benefit business and society. Highly recommended.”
Michael Mengelt, PE Group Leader - Export Geotechnics Ramboll

“The conference was very well organized and topics were actual and inspiring. It was refreshing to see how the port community is engaged in the environmental issues.”
Mauro Dal Bo, Branch Manager, Mediterranean Shipping Company

The success of the American edition of GreenPort Congress was underpinned by the high calibre support that the event received from the American organising team at Maryland Department of Transport, Maryland Department of Environment and Helen Delich Bentley, Port of Baltimore. The Lieutenant Governor Maryland, Boyd K. Rutherford opened the conference highlighting the pride that the state of Maryland has in the environmental achievements of the Helen Delich Bentley Port of Baltimore, welcoming the attendees to see first-hand their success.
