Since earning a BA with high honors in economics with a business concentration from St. Mary’s College of Maryland in 1987, Mike has worked for Wallenius Wilhelmsen Ocean (and related companies) in Belgium, Norway and the United States. He has held positions in commercial, quality, and operations. Mike’s current responsibilities span more than 20 ports in North America where he leads a team striving for flawless execution at the lowest possible costs for in excess of 100 vessel operations every month with a focus on simplified processes and strong supplier performance. Based in Baltimore, MD, he serves on various Maritime related Boards such as the Steamship Trade Association, the Baltimore Port Alliance, the Baltimore International Seafarers’ Center, the Baltimore Maritime Exchange and the New York Shipping Association.
