Barbara graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.S in Geology in 1983. After a few years working in the geotechnical field, Barbara began a career with the State of Maryland Department of the Environment in 1987. Barbara enjoyed 11 years in the Oil Control Program overseeing the investigation and remediation of petroleum releases. Barbara joined the Voluntary Cleanup Program in 2003 and have managed a number of applications ranging from small less than 1 acre properties to the 3100 acre former Sparrows Point Steel mill.
