Senior Vice President, Sustainability Division
Anne Choate is a Senior Vice President, leading ICF International's Sustainability Division, which comprises nearly 400 staff specializing in energy planning, GHG mitigation, climate adaptation and resilience, as well as economic and regulatory analysis. After supporting ICF’s work in life-cycle assessment, supply chain analysis, energy planning, and GHG mitigation, Ms. Choate shifted her focus to climate adaptation and resiliency in 2004. She initiated a practice within ICF that is focused on understanding and addressing the impacts of climate change and extreme weather on health, ecosystems, and infrastructure. She served as Principal Investigator supporting DOT on the second phase of the Gulf Coast Project, evaluating climate change impacts to transportation infrastructure, including marine ports, in the Gulf Coast region with a focus on Mobile, Alabama. The study has resulted in a plethora of practical tools for engineers, planners, designers, and policymakers at the state and local level. Subsequently, her team has been providing resiliency support to the National Academy of Sciences Aviation Cooperation Research Board (ACRP), the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the Port of San Diego, the Port of LA, and other marine ports and airports in the US and abroad.
