GreenPort Congress 2012 - Call for Papers
The 2011 GreenPort Congress
The call for papers for the GreenPort Congress 2012, organised by Mercator Media Ltd, has been released.
The 7th GreenPort Congress will take place from 3-4 October 2012 and aims to provide decision makers with a meeting place to both learn about and discuss the latest in sustainable environmental practice that will enable them to effectively implement these changes. This year it is hosted by Marseille Fos Port Authority.
Abstracts are being invited on the following topics:
Port - Ship Interface: how do ship emissions influence ports?
SOx emissions:
- LNG Bunkering (safety rules and infrastructure)
- Waste produced by scrubbers and impact on waste reception facilities
NOx emissions:
- Nitrogen deposition related issues
- Nitrogen Emission Control Areas
Ballast water
Green Terminals
- Green Efforts project
- Green performance clauses – Concessions / lease agreements
- Energy efficiency
Green Logistics Chain
- Hinterland connections
- Internalisation of external costs
