Cargotec unloaders for multiple ports
Finnish cargo company, Cargotec, has received orders for new mobile Siwertell units from ports in Turkey, Denmark and Sweden.
The orders have been secured over the past four months and the units will ensure minimal environmental impact with high capacity, dust free bulk handling operations and low noise levels.
Jörgen Ojeda, sales director, Cargotec, said: "Its unique design makes the Siwertell unloader one of the most environmentally friendly shore-based ship unloading systems available. Dust-free handling, and low energy consumption, along with minimal exhaust and sound emissions also mean that it has the advantage of being able to be used in sensitive sites or those close to populated areas."
The first order has been commissioned for cement handling operations at a rated capacity of 300t/h, in Muhammet Gümüstas, Turkey. The first will be a diesel powered, trailer based Siwertell 10000 S unit with a dual bellow system and dust filters.
A similar unit is due to be made for Aalborg Portland in Denmark for fly ash handling at a rated capacity of 250t/h.
Fortum Värme port in Sweden has ordered the third unit to handle biomass at a rated capacity of 330t/h– an electrically powered, 15000 S unit which will be commissioned by the end of next year.
