Lamia Kerdjoudj-Belkaid, Secretary General, FEPORT continued with a Keynote speech on the 4th Industrial Revolution.

ECOPORTS network remains committed and proactive on the environmental issues and continues its forward looking approach.

Isabelle Ryckbost, Secretary General ESPO (European Sea Ports Organisation)  highlighted 5 priorities and issues:

*  Management of Ship generated waste

*  Tax exemption for on shore power supply

*  Investment in our ports

*  De-carbonisation on the Climate Agenda

*  Port / City Relationships

Lamia Kerdjoudj-Belkaid, Secretary General, FEPORT (Federation of European Port Operators and Private Terminals) continued with a Keynote speech on the 4th Industrial Revolution. Collaboration and partnership working is key to the future of the industry. Sustainability, corporate social responsibility, motivating investors and innovation are key issues that need to be considered, with going "green" in terms of both equipment and users.

Kerdjoudj-Belkaid said "Ports alone cannot achieve a sustainable agenda but Ports can be proactive by calculating their carbon footprint and meeting 2029 targets"

Conclusion: Ports need to be Smart with sustainability; defining the quick wins and plotting the long term objectives and making sure there is co-operation and consultation.
